Hi, I'm Lauren, a user experience researcher and strategist with over 10 years of research experience, specializing in fintech, healthtech, and greentech. My passion is helping companies build meaningful, user-centered products that align with both customer needs and business goals.

I typically lead UX research projects, guiding teams from discovery to delivery. I’ve also contributed as a team member on large-scale projects, collaborating with design and innovation studios for major clients. Whether leading or supporting, my focus is always on delivering actionable insights that drive business results.

Before transitioning into UX research in 2019, I spent years working as a psychometrist in clinical settings, supporting mental health and neuropsychology teams. I also gained hands-on experience in digital marketing and honed my leadership skills as a board member for community organizations, including a Google Developer Group. This rich and varied background allows me to approach research with a unique perspective, blending data-driven insights with a deep understanding of human behaviour.​​

Throughout my career, I’ve worked both for in-house products and with leading branding agencies, and design & innovation studios. I’ve collaborated with a range of clients, from small start-ups to large, established companies, including social innovation incubators, clinical settings, and financial institutions. This diverse experience has given me a broad perspective and the ability to bring strategic, actionable insights to a variety of industries. I'm particularly passionate about sustainability and its potential to shape the future of business, and I’m excited to help companies create impactful, sustainable solutions.

 

Beyond this, I’ve had the opportunity to work as a subject matter expert at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), designing a UX Research course from the ground up. I also contribute as a guest expert writer for publications like The CX Lead, offering insights to senior leaders on integrating customer experience into product development. These experiences have reinforced my role in shaping future UX professionals and guiding executive teams toward more customer-centric strategies.
